Chen M, et al. - This study assessed the impact of hemodialysis (HD) procedure on plasma levels of cardiac troponin (cTn). Findings demonstrated that HD induced a short-lived negative bias in high-sensitivity cardiac troponin T (hs-cTnT). Clinicians should interpret hs-cTnT concentration with respect to time of dialysis and specimen collection when looking for acute coronary syndrome (ACS).
