Predictive value of C-reactive protein in patients treated with sunitinib for metastatic clear cell renal cell carcinoma

Pilskog M, et al. - Keeping the objective in mind, researchers demonstrated that baseline C-reactive protein was a significant predictive factor of sunitinib response and a prognostic factor of survival. It was considered that baseline C-reactive protein might be a useful biomarker in the treatment planning of metastatic renal clear cell carcinoma. Due to the relatively small sample size, the outcomes need to be confirmed in larger studies.
