Roden–Foreman K, et al. – Patients with orthopaedic trauma with and without traumatic brain injury (TBI) were assessed for symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and depression. In patients with orthopaedic injury, a co–existing TBI was related to significantly higher rates of PTSD at 12 months and depression at 6 months postinjury.
