Equipping community pharmacy workers as agents for health behaviour change: Developing and testing a theory-based smoking cessation intervention

Steed L, et al. – The intent here was to formulate a complex intervention for community pharmacy staff in order to promote the uptake of smoking cessation services and to increase quit rates. The data validated the acceptability of the intervention and demonstrated preliminary evidence of benefit. This research developed and refined an intervention to promote smoking cessation services in community pharmacies. This was to be assessed in advanced studies.
