De novo overactive bladder following mid-urethral sling procedures: A systematic review of the literature and meta-analysis

International Urogynecology Journal Aug 11, 2017

Pergialiotis V, et al. – A comprehensive literature search is carried out to assess the incidence of the overactive bladder following mid–urethral sling procedures and summarize the current evidence. Current evidence recommends that the overall incidence of de novo overactive bladder (OAB) following mid–urethral sling procedures is approximately 9%. There is not enough proof to support differences in the impacts of the different types of sling with respect to this specific postoperative complication.
