Kılınç ANU, Bayramoğlu Z, Ünlü Y, et al. - In the present study, the researchers sought to assess ectopic adrenal cortical tissue (EACT) and identify clinical, pathological and radiological aspects. Between 2010 and 2020, a retrospective review of pathology reports in a single tertiary institution was performed. Patients [N = 17; 15 boys and 2 adults (1 male)] who were diagnosed with EACT were involved. Data reported that the mean diameter of the EACT nodule was 0.25 cm. During inguinal hernia repair, seven EACTs were diagnosed, 6 during orchidopexy, 1 during partial orchiectomy, 2 during orchiectomy, and 1 during hysterectomy and bilateral uterine prolapse salphingooferectomy. Pediatric urologists, surgeons, and pathologists should be suspected of finding a tiny yellowish nodule in the inguinoscrotal area.
