Pydisetty G, Kwaees TA, Saldanha K, et al. - The present study was conducted to evaluate the outcome of revision surgery for bisphosphonate-related subtrochanteric fracture non-union following failed intramedullary nailing. Researchers conducted a retrospective review of all consecutive cases of revision surgery for non-union of bisphosphonate-related subtrochanteric fractures. Between 2012 and 2017, all procedures were conducted by a single surgeon. It was reported that in all patients, fracture healing can be achieved with bone grafting and compression plating. Nevertheless, they should expect a prolonged time to achieve union and long follow-up duration.
