Huang M, O'Shaughnessy J, Zhao J, et al. - Researchers examined the link between pathological complete response (pCR) and survival outcomes in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), by performing this meta-analysis. They conducted a literature review to select neoadjuvant studies, involving clinical trials, real-world cohort investigations and studies that pooled multiple trials or cohorts, which described event-free survival (EFS)/overall survival (OS) findings by pCR in early-stage TNBC patients. This analysis involved 25 studies comprising over 4,000 TNBC patients. According to the findings, improved EFS/OS were observed in relation to adjuvant therapy in patients with TNBC who were treated with neoadjuvant therapy, irrespective of pCR status.
