Ishimaru T, Ando S, Umishio W, et al. - Using information from a baseline survey obtained during the winter months from November 2014 to March 2019, researchers examined the link between overactive bladder (OAB) and indoor temperatures in the living room and bedroom, by applying multiple logistic regression. In 4,782 participants residing in 2,453 dwellings, a prevalence of 16.4% was reported for overactive bladder. According to the findings, improved OAB symptoms may be observed in relation to thermal comfort in the living room but not in the bedroom. In addition, a negative effect of cold bedrooms in terms of OAB may be averted by using sufficient bedding.
