Ozimek T, Laturnus JM, Gohlke C, et al. - Since, radiological parameters predicting a postoperative stone-free status (SFS) or a complicated perioperative course of mini-PNL, are scarce. This study was intended to distinguish such factors for prone 17.5F mini-PNL. Researchers retrospectively examined a monocentric cohort of 103 cases for factors predicting SFS and relevant complications, i.e. Clavien–Dindo (CD) ≥ 2. They assessed the infundibulopelvic angle on intraoperative pyelography. This study findings demonstrate that preoperative CT factors indicating elevated kidney position affect the perioperative course of mini-PNL. It was shown that T12LP and the presence of ribs in the access angle are, apart from stone diameter, the most beneficial indicators for cases at risk of CD ≥ 2.
