Sayal NR, Militsakh O, Aurit S, et al. - Researchers here investigated if and how multimodal analgesia (MMA) protocol for head and neck microvascular reconstruction is associated with postoperative safety and opioid use. They conducted retrospective, intention‐to‐treat analysis of 226 patients who underwent head and neck microvascular reconstruction at a tertiary‐care hospital following MMA protocol implementation. Groups did not differ in frequency of bleeding, return to operating room, complete flap loss, readmissions, wound complications, and 30‐day mortality. MMA was identified to be safe and linked with decreased postoperative opioid use.
