Li L, Zhang L, Mo JH, et al. - Researchers performed this randomised, double‐blind, clinical controlled trial to determine the clinical efficacy of a high‐efficiency air purifier among patients suffering from allergic rhinitis. This inquiry was undertaken with active and inactive versions of an air purifier. The participants were sensitive to Artemisia pollen. During the Artemisia pollen scattering season in Yulin City in Shanxi Province, China, experts assessed the clinical efficacy of indoor air filtration. This analysis involved 90 patients who were randomly allocated to one of two groups in equal numbers. The variation in visual analogue scale scores from baseline was considered as the primary outcome measure. The groups who used the active vs the inactive air purifier showed significant differences in terms of rhinitis symptoms, based on the allergy symptom score. Overall, particle filtration was shown to afford health benefits in this patient population.
