Park SY, et al. - The diagnostic performance of mass enhancement on DCE-MRI vs conventional DCE-MRI criteria was compared with identifying clinically significant prostate cancer (csPCa) in the peripheral zone (PZ). Researchers examined a sum of 173 consecutive individuals with MRI- and surgically proven prostate cancer (PCa). Two reviewers independently review DCE-MRI examinations of the PZ. This study investigated the diagnostic performance of and interreader agreement for the two types of enhancement criteria in distinguishing csPCa in the PZ that met Epstein criteria. It was showed that PZ lesions with mass enhancement on DCE-MRI are more likely to be csPCa. This improvement pattern may require to be considered as one of the criteria in PI-RADS.
