Israël B, et al. - Experts intended to decrease the interpretation variability and attain optimal exactitude in evaluating prostate mpMRI. With Prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System version 2 (PI-RADS v2), on the basis of its imaging peculiarities of the three mpMRI “components”, it was possible to quantify normal and abnormal anatomical structures within the prostate. With this knowledge, a more objective assessment of the presence of a csPCa could be done. Nevertheless, there still lingered quite a possibility to decrease interobserver variability. Thus, according to PI-RADS v2, for learning about the interpretation of mpMRI, understanding of the relationship between imaging and (ab)normal anatomical structures on the three mpMRI components is required.
