Clinical characteristics and surgical management of adult adrenal teratoma: A 15-year experience and systematic review of the literature

Urology Nov 18, 2019

Zhong W, Ma R, Cheng S, et al. - Fourteen individuals with adrenal teratoma from January 2002 to June 2017, at two large centers in China were retrospectively reviewed and 39 persons from the series and published literature were systematically investigated in order to summarize the clinical features and surgical management of adrenal teratoma in adults. Twelve females and two males with a median age of 35 were enrolled. It was discovered that adrenal teratoma is a remarkably uncommon entity, often ascertained to be extensive, benign and cystic. The person's prognosis is usually good. For its large volume, in most cases, open adrenalectomy is the principal option for teratoma, whilst the LA could be a choice in the small one.
