Cesarean scar pregnancy managed with local and systemic methotrexate: A single center case series
European Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Biology Jun 17, 2019
Naeh A, et al. - Via a retrospective case series of 12 patients with cesarean scar pregnancy, the researchers intended to determine the efficacy of combined systemic and local methotrexate treatment and review data from selected, similar case series. Patients were treated with combined systemic and local methotrexate and were assessed. Effectiveness and safety of a combination of systemic and local methotrexate for treatment of cesarean scar pregnancy were noted. However, the treatment course was concluded to be longer than with other modalities, but this protocol offered excellent success rates, with fertility preservation and few complications.
