Jones JL, et al. - Via 518 cases recorded across 25 countries through the plastic surgeons PROFILE registry to provide standard guidelines for the diagnosis of breast implant-associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCL, a rare but important complication of breast implants), the contributors set to review the knowledge of the incidence of the disease, current thoughts on pathogenesis, patterns of presentation, and it's pathological features. However, characterized by CD30 positive neoplastic cells, BIA-ALCL should be interpreted with care, according to the provided pathological guidelines for the robust diagnosis of this lesion, as well as the most appropriate staging system and management strategies.
