JAMA May 24, 2019

Roberts MY, et al. - The researchers carried out a systematic review and meta-analysis to explore the connection between parent training and language and communication outcomes in young children. The study sample consisted of 5848 participants. For child outcomes, moderate positive associations were found, and strong associations for parent outcomes were found. According to findings, training parents in the implementation of language and communication intervention techniques were related to improved child outcomes and increased use of support strategies by parents.
