Association between migraine and benign paroxysmal positional vertigo among adults in South Korea
JAMA Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery May 08, 2019
Kim SK, et al. - In a large, national, population-based sample, researchers determined the incidence of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) in people with migraine. BPPV incidence was the highest in men under 40 years of age, and as age increased, the HR decreased in both men and women. In this cohort study in South Korea that included 40,682 people with a migraine and 162,728 controls, migraine seemed to be statistically significantly linked to a higher incidence of BPPV.
