Chuan J, et al. - In this meta-analysis of 7 studies involving 4,742 subjects, researchers, for the first time, analyzed the connection between rs562556 and serum lipids levels. The investigators did not identify any significant differences between G-carriers and non-G-carriers in response to statin treatment. Overall, they found a positive association between rs562556 and lower levels of total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol.
