Associations between interleukin-10 gene polymorphisms and systemic lupus erythematosus risk: A meta-analysis with trial sequential analysis

Clinical and Experimental Rheumatology Online Mar 24, 2019

Yuan Y, et al. - Researchers analyzed the data to estimate the association between interleukin-10 (IL-10) gene polymorphisms and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) risk. They noted an inclined risk of systemic lupus erythematosus due to IL10-1082A/G polymorphism. They did not find any correlation between IL10-819C/T and IL10-592C/A polymorphism. They also found an increased risk of SLE in IL10A/G polymorphism in the Asian population, hospital-based, and PCR-RFLP (polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism) subgroups. Subsequently, they also recorded a decreased risk of SLE in IL10-819C/T and IL10-592C/A polymorphisms.
