Prognostic value of advanced lung cancer inflammation index in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma

European Archives of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology Mar 22, 2019

Jank BJ, et al. - In this study, 93 subjects were evaluated to examine the prognostic utility of advanced lung cancer inflammation index (ALI) in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Patients who were diagnosed with HNSCC and treated with surgical resection and postoperative radiotherapy between 2002 and 2012 were included. They noted an association of low ALI with a worse 5-year disease-free survival (47.0 vs 83.5%) and overall survival (44.4 vs 73.6%).
