End date nearing soon for ICMR collaborations of these 3 technologies

The National Institute of Virology, Pune (an ICMR institute) has developed highly reliable and cost-effective diagnostic test kits for rapid diagnosis of Japanese encephalitis virus, dengue and chikungunya and they supply a limited number of kits on a commercial basis.

The technologies have been standardized for upscaling. These are currently in regular production and the kits are being supplied to sentinel surveillance hospitals and apex referral laboratories under the national program. 

For all the interested candidates, ICMR has notified that the last date for Expression Of Interest is 17.12.2017.

 


Diagnostic ELISA for detection of IgM antibodies against Japanese Encephalitis virus

JE IgM Capture ELISA kit containing ready to use reagents, is intended for qualitative detection of IgM antibodies in serum /CSF of patients presenting clinical signs and symptoms consistent with Japanese Encephalitis.

Validation

The present JE IgM kit has been evaluated for its performance. The kit has a diagnostic sensitivity of 95% and diagnostic specificity of 98%. The kit has high inter and intra assay reproducibility.

Diagnostic ELISA for detection of IgM antibodies against Dengue virus

Dengue IgM Capture ELISA kit containing ready to use reagents, is intended for qualitative detection of IgM antibodies in serum of patients presenting clinical signs and symptoms consistent with Dengue.

Validation

Performance of the test has been evaluated. The kit has a diagnostic sensitivity of 95% and diagnostic specificity of 98%. The kit has high inter and intra assay reproducibility.

CHIK IgM Capture ELISA kit containing ready to use reagents, is intended for qualitative detection of IgM antibodies in serum of patients presenting clinical signs and symptoms consistent with Chikungunya.

The present CHIK IgM kit has been evaluated for its performance. The kit has a diagnostic sensitivity of 95% and diagnostic specificity of 98%. The kit has high inter and intra assay reproducibility.
