What this eCME covers?
Diabetes has become endemic to our country and this eCME aims to equip every primary care physician to deal with patients with Diabetes efficiently.
It has been designed by experts from the field and intends to upskill the primary care physicians of India in managing patients with Diabetes.This eCME is approved by RSSDI (Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India), and on the completion of the 6 modules you will be awarded a certificate endorsed by RSSDI.
This eCMe is divided into 6 modules, each presented in a video format. Each module is instructed by experts from the field.
- Module 1 helps in understanding the screening and classification of Diabetes. It will help you gain insight on appropriate screening tests to be used, whether OGTT, HBA1c or fasting glucose for a patient who walks into your clinic.
- Module 2 is about treatment approaches.This module takes you through the philosophy of Diabetes management and will help you gain an understanding of a comprehensive multi dimensional approach to Diabetes treatment.
- Module 3 throws light on managing complications that arise due to Diabetes; acute metabolic as well as non metabolic complications and chronic macro and micro vascular complications.
- Module 4 touches upon a very important aspect of Diabetes managment that involves effective patient communication and ways to achieve effective communication with your patients.
- Module 5 is dedicated to the management of Diabetes in special populations; children, elderly and the pregnant women.
- Module 6 helps you understand how you can integrate a Metabolic clinic within your existing practise where you can put to use all this knowldge and help the Diabetic population to gain control over their condition.

Dr. Sanjay Kalra is an Endocrinologist based at Karnal, India. An avid researcher, writer and busy clinician, he serves as President, Endocrine Society of India (ESI), Vice President of the South Asian Federation of Endocrine Societies (SAFES). He serves as Education Editor of the International Society of Endocrinology, and works to improve Endocrine education across the world. He won the global DAWN Award for best translational research in Diabetes in 2009. He is an international lecturer and author of numerous published peer-reviewed research papers.He has delivered several lectures on various aspects of Endocrinology, all across Europe, America, Africa and Asia. He has over 200 papers published till date, Dr. Kalra is associated with significant contribution in publications. Dr. Kalra has a vast clinical research experience as Principal Investigator in over 50 global phase I, II, III, IV clinical trials.

Dr. Pratap Jethwani from Rajkot is a Diabetes specialist with vast experience of about 20 years in managing all kinds of Diabetes, thyroid and blood pressure disorders.He has been a past tutor in PG Diploma in Diabetes course for Leicester University, UK & BMJ learning. He has also been a section editor for Sadikot's International textbook of Diabetes.

Dr. Sanjay Reddy is a General Physician and Diabetologist from Bangalore. Epidemiology of Type 2 Diabetes, Type 1 Diabetes, Osteoporosis, Dyslipidemia, and Obesity are some of his special areas of interest.

Dr. L Sreenivasa Murthy is a Bangalore based Diabetologist and Physician. Dr. L Sreenivasa Murthy’s 14 year long medical career has been a very research oriented one, apart from being rich in medical experience. He has successfully faced USFDA AUDIT at his state-of-art centre in Bengaluru. As a Professor of Medicine, he has a vast teaching experience for both undergraduate and postgraduates. He has conducted more than 60 multinational clinical trials and delivered lecturers in national/ international conferences and has got national/international publications to his credit.

Dr. Hitesh Punyani is a Diabetologist and General Physician from New Delhi and has an experience of 16 years in this field.

Dr Shalini Jaggi is Director & Senior Consultant Diabetologist at Lifecare Diabetes Center and offers specialised care for all types of Diabetes including Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes as well as Diabetes in pregnancy/GDM.Dr. Shalini is the Regional Course Director (India): Mastercourse in Diabetes (Certified by RCGP UK & Diabetes UK). She is also a tutor & faculty at: PG Diabetes Diploma Cardiff University, UK, University of South Wales, UK. Dr. Shalini is also the reviewer, Int Journal of Diabetes in Dev Countries (IJDDC) as well as for Journal of Diabetology.

Dr. Banshi Saboo is currently President of RSSDI and is the chief Diabetologist & Chairman of Diabetes Care & Hormone Clinic at Ahmedabad. He has vast experience in various aspects of Diabetes management in different kinds of populations. Dr. Saboo has been the Advisory Board Member of JAPI, Journal of Diabetology, JOMR. He is also an Expert for RSSDI Guidelines for Management of Diabetes, ATTD CGM Guidelines &ISPAD Guidelines for Paediatric Diabetes.

Will I earn credit points after completing the CME?
The CMEs on M3 India may or may not carry CME credit points that are recognized by various State Medical Councils/ NMC. Number of CME credit points will be highlighted explicitly for the respective CME, wherever applicable.

When will I get a CME certificate?
We provide certificates by prominent Medical Associations and Societies for majority of our CMEs. You will be able to download the certificate only after successfully completing a CME which will include completion of all modules and qualifying the assessment quiz with a minimum score. Please note that if MCI details in your profile are not verified, you will be asked to provide these details first and you will be able to download the certificate from the CME page once verification is complete.

What should I do if there is an error in my CME certificate?
You can write to us via contact us and highlight the issues and we will have it resolved. Please ensure your profile details such as your name, registration details are correct as they are used in the certificate.

Will I get a hard copy of the certificate?
We only provide a digital certificate which you can download anytime after completing the CME modules and assessment quiz from the CME page directly.

Are there any timelines within which I must complete the CME?
There are no timelines. Doctors can finish a CME anytime as per their convenience.

If there any fee for completing CMEs?
All CMEs are free for Doctors and you do not have to pay any fee for taking a CME.
