The incidence of unsuccessful partial nephrectomy within the United States: A nationwide population-based analysis from 2003 to 2015

Khandwala YS, et al. – This report highlighted the nationwide incidence of unsuccessful partial nephrectomy (PN) and factors that predict its occurrence. Collected data represented that overall the rate of unsuccessful PN seemed to be declining, however, it was still common for low volume surgeons and with the laparoscopic surgical approach. Thus, further research work was needed to determine its effect on health care outcomes.
