Journal of Diabetes Investigation Sep 11, 2017

Zhi-Ke Liu ZK, et al. - Aim of this work was to evaluate the associations between various glucose metabolic status and arterial stiffness, and further explore the threshold of blood glucose indices for the risk of arterial stiffness. When compared with normal glucose levels, impaired fasting glucose, impaired glucose tolerance, combined glucose intolerance, and newly diabetes mellitus related to greater risk of arterial stiffness. In addition, a threshold for 2-hour post-load glucose of 6.14 mmol/L probably exists for risk of arterial stiffness.
