Ruiz-Hernandez A, et al. - This study assessed lead and cadmium exposure reductions as an explanation for decreasing cardiovascular mortality trends in the USA from 1988–94 to 1999–2004. Findings reported an association between environmental declines in lead and cadmium exposures and reductions in cardiovascular mortality in US adults.
