Association between reported long working hours and history of stroke in the CONSTANCES cohort
Stroke Jun 26, 2019
Fadel M, et al. - In a large general population cohort, researchers used logistic models to explore if there is a connection between reported long working hours (LWHs) and history of stroke. Among the 143,592 candidates in the investigations, there were 1,224 reported strokes, 42,542 reported LWH, and 14,481 reported LWH for 10 years or more. The association exhibited no distinctions between males and females, but was stronger in white-collar workers below 50 years of age. This large analysis shows a significant link between stroke and exposure to LWH for 10 years or more. The results are applicable to prevention both individually and globally.
