PLoS Neglected Tropical Diseases Jun 17, 2019
Bradford BF, et al. - Through a cross-sectional study of 274 women, with normal pregnancy outcomes, the researchers targeted to describe maternally perceived fetal movement strength, frequency, and pattern in late pregnancy. Strong fetal movements in the evening and at night-time including bedtime; and when sitting quietly compared with other activities were noted by the pregnant women. Most women also perceived fetal hiccups. Hence, it was concluded that it is normal to perceive such symptoms in the third trimester and as pregnancy advances.
